Ketogenic Diet Food List! – Don’t Start Before Reading This

Let’s start with the facts. It is possible to get your body into a state of perpetual fat-scorching mode.

Those who claim otherwise clearly have never heard of ketogenic diet…

This is a diet that calls for low carbohydrates and high fat consumption per day, and you stand to gain a number of healthful perks from embracing it.

Some of those perks include giving you a big-time boost in energy levels, keeps nasty inflammation at bay, improves brain functioning ability, and of course, helps you strip off those excess pounds.

LCHF Diet vs. Ketogenic Diet

what to eat on a ketogenic diet

Some of you might be asking right about now:

What are the differences between ketogenic diet than straight up low-carb, high-fat diet (LCHF)?

Well, here’s fact number two—there’s actually one major difference and that is when you’re on a keto diet, you’re not allowed to take in too much protein.

With LCHF, you can pretty much go nuts with your protein intake.

And that is why when it comes to weight loss, the LCHF diet is inferior to the ketogenic diet.

Since you‘re not required to keep your protein consumption in check, the production of ketones in your liver will be limited, thus making it a little harder for you attain dramatic weight loss results.

Because keto diet restricts protein, the body is able to generate a whole lot more ketones which it will use as an energy source to fuel you up.

In addition, the hormone that hoards the fat in your body a.k.a. insulin will be reduced as well.

Bottom line equation:

Ketogenic Diet = Persistent Fat Burning Mode = DRAMATIC WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS

Okay, simple enough.

But one of the main tricks is eating the right ketogenic foods.

Some folks are a little fuzzy in this area…

No worries!

I’ve created this simple and handy table that lists a total of 6 common ketogenic foods along with the amount of carbohydrates each has for every 100-gram serving.

List of Common Ketogenic Foods

Carb Amount (100-gram serving)

Natural fats such as flaxseed oil, olive oil, butter, etc.

Above-soil veggies such as asparagus, cucumber, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.

1 to 5

It goes without saying that in order to experience full ketosis; you need to stay away from most forms of carbs.

All those mouth-watering sweetness such as cookies, cakes, milk shakes, jams, etc. are strictly no-no.

Same deal with starchy carbohydrate sources which include sweet potatoes, breakfast cereals, pasta, crackers, bread, tortilla, rice, pita, etc.

Under 20 grams of daily carb consumption—that’s’ what you should be aiming for.

However, if you feel this is too low for you and it seems like a massive feat to go through daily, then you can go ahead and bump up your carb intake to between 25 to 45 grams per day.

But do not go over 50 grams per day or that will severely limit the ketosis effect, okay?

It is no different than following a rigid low carbohydrate diet.

Just keep in mind that what you also want to do is limit your protein intake, while chowing down plenty of fat.

Losing Weight with Keto Diet

The keto diet’s significant effectiveness at activating your body’s weight-torching mode without causing hunger pangs is the main reason why numerous folks these days are gushing over it.

While other low-carb diets are also able to knock down the level of insulin and ramp up your body’s fat-burning ability, they are not quite capable of achieving those feats as impressively as the ketogenic diet.

In fact, plenty of randomized control trials have been conducted on the effectiveness of ketogenic diet vs. other forms of low-carb diets, and the former came out top each time.

Of course, you must stay consistent with the ketogenic diet if you want to experience that amazing fat loss outcome you’ve been dreaming about.

One of the best ways to stay consistent is to cook up a wide variety of ketogenic meals, so you won’t get bored and start craving for those unhealthy, sugary carbs.
